Ramp-Designed Annual Report Awarded In The AR100

CWS Capital Partners 2007 Annual ReportLos Angeles, CA (November 3, 2008) - The CWS Capital Partners annual report created by Ramp Creative is among the 100 best reports honored by the 24th Annual AR100 & CSR Award Show competition. The report titled "Curriculum For Success" was produced for the client's 2007 fiscal year in the format of three small books and a CD-ROM, and bundled together in an academic-style folder. This is the fourth year in a row for the CWS Capital Partners annual report to be included in the top 100 annual reports.

A total of 100 winning annual reports and 10 corporate sustainability and social responsibility reports were selected from hundreds of entries, by a panel of distinguished judges. The judges looked for excellence in design, typography, information graphics, photography, illustration, paper, and printing. Together they reached a consensus on the top 100 annual reports, and then awarded further honors to the best reports in the group. The 10 best CSR entries were selected based on sustainability and design scores.

Ramp Creative Logo Included in LogoLounge 5

Los Angeles, CA (September 24, 2008) - The Denimhead Washbox logo by Los Angeles-based design studio Ramp Creative was chosen to be included in LogoLounge Volume 5 which will be published and released in June of 2009. The judging was extremely competitive as over 33,000 logos were entered for consideration. The competition's international panel of judges included Andreas Karl of Karl Design, Von Glitschka of Glitschka Studios, Michelle Sonderegger of Design Ranch, Sarah Moffat of Turner Duckworth, Jamie Koval of VSA Partners, Vince Frost of Frost Design, Bronwen Rautenbach of The Brand Union, and Alex de Janosi of Lippincott.

Ramp Creative Receives Honors From LACP

LACP (League of American Communications Professionals) Honors Ramp Creative Annual Report

Los Angeles, CA (July 12, 2008) - Los Angeles-based design studio Ramp Creative won a silver award from the 2007 Vision Awards, an international competition sponsored by the League of Communications Professionals (LACP) in San Diego. They received honors for their design and development of the Edwards Lifesciences annual report.

The 2007 annual report entitled "And" for Edwards Lifesciences in Irvine, California, a leader in cardiovascular disease treatments, won a Silver Award in the Biotechnology Category. The report received an overall 95 out of 100 for total score, and 28 out of 30 for the First Impression category as well as 10 out of 10 for Creativity. Comments on the annual report from the judges include, "all of the elements that we're looking for are well presented in an attractive and engaging format," and "a strong first impression: the presentation of the annual report and overall design quickly drew us in to learn more. Excellent."

"This year's annual report for Edwards Lifesciences Corporation proves to be remarkable in light of tremendous competition," said Christine Kennedy, LACP Managing Director. "More than 3,000 entries were received for the 2007 Vision Awards, comprising submission from more than 20 countries. The level of creativity exhibited in the report is superb."

NIRI OC Recognizes Ramp Creative For Annual Report Design

The NIRI OC Recognizes Ramp Creative With Two Gold Awards At The Annual Report Competition

Los Angeles, CA (July 1, 2008) - Los Angeles-based design studio Ramp Creative won two gold awards at the NIRI OC (National Investor Relations Institute Orange County) Annual Report Competition.

Ramp received a gold award in the Best Online Annual Report category as well as the Best Overall Annual Report for their work with Edwards Lifesciences Corporation. The gold Online Annual Report Award marks Ramp's fourth straight annual win in a row.

Ramp Creative’s awards were presented at the 15th Annual Report Competition Gala—a competition that recognizes the best annual reports of publicly-traded companies in Orange and Los Angeles Counties, across all industry sectors. This year, the awards were celebrated at a dinner held in Newport Beach, California on June 25, 2008 by the Orange County Chapter of National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI OC). Entries were judged by corporate reporting experts and analysts at the CFA Society of Orange County, ROTH Capital Partners and Powell Internet.

Ramp Creative Logo Included in the TDC54

The Type Directors Club Acknowledges Downtown Los Angeles Design Firm Ramp Creative in Prestigious TDC Annual Exhibition

DomaineLogo.jpgLos Angeles, CA (May 21, 2008) - Los Angeles-based design studio Ramp Creative won a placement in the 2008 TDC54 Annual Exhibition held annually by the Type Directors Club in New York City for excellence in typography and typeface design. Philippe Apeloig, Dana Arnett, Ed Fella, Jessica Helfand, Noreen Morioka, Jakob Trollback and Anne Twomey were among the jury.

Selected from approximately 2,000 submissions from 33 countries, the 225 winning designs were selected as the best typographic work of 2007. Ramp Creative won a placement for the Domaine Restaurant Group logo.

Winning entries in the TDC competitions will be published in the corresponding annual, Typography 29, the Annual of the Type Directors Club, and distributed Worldwide. Designed by Philippe Apeloig, it's the only annual devoted exclusively to typography, and presents the finest work in this field for use of type in books, magazines, corporate identities, logotypes, stationery, annual reports, video and web graphics, and posters. Winning entries will also be exhibited worldwide in the TDC traveling exhibitions, as well as at the New York opening of the TDC exhibition in Summer of 2008.
